About Morse Code Translator
Morse code has outlived the telegraph by well over a century because it needs almost nothing to work — a light, a buzzer, a tapped finger. It is still used in aviation beacons, in amateur radio, and in a great many puzzles and escape rooms.
This translator uses the International Morse standard: A–Z, the digits, and the punctuation marks that were formally assigned. The written convention of one space between letters and a slash between words is what makes a Morse string unambiguous on a page, since the timing that separates them when transmitted is not available in text.
Decoding goes the other way and is forgiving about extra whitespace, so Morse copied out of a puzzle usually translates without cleanup.
