Analytics-driven does not mean spreadsheet-brained. It means fifteen minutes a week where last week's numbers get a vote on next week's plan — then you go make things.
The weekly fifteen
- Minutes 1–5, outcomes: followers/subscribers gained per post (live counts via the counter), views vs your recent median.
- Minutes 5–10, diagnosis: for the best and worst post, check click-through (packaging) and retention (delivery). Those two numbers assign blame precisely.
- Minutes 10–15, one decision: double down on one thing that worked, kill or fix one thing that did not. One of each — more and nothing changes.
Reading signals, not noise
Single-post results are weather; three-post patterns are climate. Feed platforms especially deliver randomness (see how feeds test content) — react to repeated signals only.
When to override the data
Analytics optimise toward what your current audience already likes — they cannot see the audience you have not reached yet. Budget occasional deliberate experiments the numbers did not ask for; when one lands, the data will happily take credit next week. The full metric vocabulary lives in our glossary section.
