Some channels show no subscriber number at all. That is a deliberate setting: YouTube lets any channel hide its subscriber count, and when it does, the number disappears everywhere — the channel page, search results, and the official API, which simply reports that the count is hidden.
What trackers can show
Nothing, honestly. When the API says hidden, any tool still displaying a figure is guessing or serving a stale snapshot from before the channel hid it. Our live counter tells you the count is hidden rather than inventing one — that is the whole ethos of this site.

Reading a channel without the number
Views per video, upload consistency and comment activity tell you most of what subscribers would. A hidden count with strong per-video views usually means a healthy channel that just opted out of the popularity contest.
