Concurrent viewers is the number of people watching a live stream at one instant. It is a snapshot, not a total: a stream that never tops 400 concurrents can still be seen by thousands across its runtime.
How platforms show it

- Twitch and Kick display it under the player and rank category pages by it.

Reading it well
The shape beats the number: a rising baseline means retention, spikes mark moments, and a slow bleed means the segment has run long. Peak concurrents is the bragging figure; average concurrents is the honest one.
