A simulcast sends one live stream to several platforms at once — YouTube, Twitch, Kick, TikTok LIVE — usually through restreaming software or services. One camera, several concurrent audiences.
What happens to the numbers
Each platform counts its own concurrent viewers separately; no public number sums them. A simulcaster with modest counts on three platforms may out-draw a single-platform streamer with a bigger single number — worth remembering when comparing streamers (see concurrent viewers).
The trade-offs
- For: meet each audience where it lives; hedge against any one platform's discovery mood.
- Against: chat splits across platforms, and some partner programs restrict or condition simulcasting — check current platform terms before committing.
